The Grace of
Maa Tara

"Maa Tara is the savior who helps her children cross the ocean of existence."
The Legend of Tarapith
Tarapith is famous for its association with the great tantric saint Bamakhepa, who attained enlightenment here. The name derives from "Tara," the second of the ten Mahavidyas.
Legend says that when Sati's body parts fell across Bharatvarsha, 'Tara' (her eye) fell here. Maa Tara is worshipped here in her maternal form, breastfeeding Shiva after he drank the poison from the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan).
Our store honors this tradition by ensuring that every idol, cloth, and ritual item is sourced from the local artisans of Tarapith, keeping the legacy alive.
